Finding Pasha is named after Pasha, the beloved cat of our founder, Maritza. When Pasha went missing, Maritza searched relentlessly — and along the way discovered the community cat colonies no one was caring for. That search became this organization. It means no cat in our care is ever euthanized for lack of space or time. They stay with us until they're ready — and until we've found the home that truly fits them. It's the commitment that shapes every decision we make.

TNVR stands for Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate, and Return. It's the humane approach to managing community cat colonies: cats are humanely trapped, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and then returned to their colony. It stabilizes the population humanely and stops the cycle of kittens born outdoors with no one to protect them.

Pasha was never microchipped, which made locating her even more difficult. Today, whenever possible, rescued cats in our care are microchipped — so they have a much greater chance of being reunited with their families if they are ever lost.

We take in cats when we have the space and the resources to care for them properly. Because we are NO KILL and commit to every cat we accept, we sometimes have to say not yet rather than say yes and be unable to follow through. Reach out and we'll be honest about what we can do.

Contact us before doing anything else. We'll talk through your situation honestly. If we can't take your cat directly, we'll try to help you find another option — but we would always rather help than have a cat end up somewhere we can't account for.

There's a lot you can do: donate toward a specific cat's care, become a monthly donor, foster a cat while they recover, volunteer your time feeding community cats or transporting animals to veterinary appointments, or simply share our cats with people who might be looking. Every one of those matters.

Fosters give a rescued cat a home environment while they heal, grow, or simply wait for their family to find them — and they free up space for us to rescue the next cat. Directly on the cats. Veterinary care is our largest expense by far — exams, surgeries, dental work, medications, spaying and neutering, vaccinations, and microchips. Donations also cover food, litter, and supplies for the cats in foster care and at the sanctuary. Veterinary care is expensive and the cost of rescue keeps rising, but we remain committed to providing our cats with the best care we can.
