How Bubbles came to us.
Bubbles came into our lives during a rescue in Boca Raton that did not go quite as expected.
At the time, we were actually trying to rescue her sister, Bootsi. We had never seen Bubbles in the area before, so when she appeared, it came as a complete surprise. Bubbles and Bootsi look so much alike that their connection was immediately clear.
The remarkable part of this story is Bootsi. Over the course of the rescue, four other cats were safely brought in before her. Bootsi remained cautious and kept her distance, almost as though she was making sure the others were rescued first. Only after the others were safe did she finally allow herself to be rescued from the streets of Boca Raton. It became one of those beautiful rescue stories that stays with you.
While Bootsi and the others are still adjusting and preparing for life in loving homes, Bubbles is ready now.
Bubbles adapted quickly to her new surroundings and has blossomed into a sweet, gentle young lady. She enjoys affection, but very much on her own terms. When she is ready for attention, she will come to you — and when she does, she expects your full devotion.
She is affectionate, calm, and quietly confident, with a personality that reveals itself more and more as she becomes comfortable.
Bubbles has already made the journey from the streets of Boca Raton to safety. Now she is ready for the most important step of all: finding a loving family to call her own.
