My Story

How Oliver came to us.

Oliver's family moved and could not take him with them. At seven years old, he suddenly found himself without the only home he had ever known — confused, overweight, and with teeth that had gone untreated for years.

He arrived at the sanctuary and was given a full veterinary workup. He had dental surgery, started treatment for early-stage kidney disease, and was put on a prescription diet that he is thriving on.

Seniors are often the hardest cats to place, and we knew Oliver might wait a long time. That did not change anything for us. He had a place here for as long as he needed one — and we never gave up looking for the right home for him.

Oliver has found exactly the kind of quiet household he needed. His medical care is manageable, and we walked his adopter through every part of it.

Can’t adopt right now? You can still help.

Sponsoring a cat covers their food, medical care and everything else they need while they wait. Every dollar goes directly to the cats in our care.
